Good morning all!
Well, it was a dreary, wet day yesterday, but that didn't stop me from enjoying listening to music. I hope you each had an ok day too?
Please take photos of the learning that you do (or work in documents on the computer) and upload them. We will then mark it and give you feedback.
Make sure you are pausing the videos and completing the tasks. It should take you longer than the length of the video to complete the lesson.
Spellings
I've attached the spellings document again below. You will be tested on these spellings on Friday. Choose one activity a day to help you practise your spellings, especially in sentences if you can! You should spend at least 10 minutes each day practising them.

Maths
Choosing appropriate addition strategies That looks too hard for me. What else can I try? That wasn't challenging enough for me. What extra can I try?
English
Here is the quiz for your English lesson.
Topic = PHSE
Look through the slides in the attached Powerpoint, focusing on the images and asking yourself "Is anyone in this picture facing a challenge?" After you've seen all six, decide
which person is facing the biggest challenge. Perhaps make notes and rank them in order.
Now, consider the different types of challenge, and draw out that what is challenging about the situation the person is facing.
Now that you've looked at them differently, rank all six of the images in terms of greatest to least challenge - what is normal for this person? What is a normal challenge for them?
In this last reshuffle, re-order the cards according to who they think has faced/will face the challenge most successfully.
Choose one person from the images. From a respectful perspective, write a short back story for the person facing the challenge. These could be written in the first person, as if you were
the person telling the story. These points can be found on slide 7. In this, you should:
• Introduce the person, their name and their challenge.
• Describe how the person feels about facing the challenge.
• Describe how the person achieves the challenge.
• Describe how the person feels when they have been successful.
If you wanted to take this lesson further, you could ask a adult for permission to watch Born to be different. Be sure to get permission from an adult before watching.

We would like to invite you to share their special photos/items from their baptisms if you have one. Why was this a special event in your life? What did it mean? Do you have to be baptized? What happens if you are not baptized? Baptism is a Christian belief and it is perfectly ok for parents to choose not to baptise their children

Watch the clip above. Discuss with someone, or quietly think about the importance of baptism and confirmation to Christians.
Create a fact file to answer the key questions on baptism and confirmation. Why is it an important event for Christians to celebrate?

Today's English is about a poem called "Dancing in the rain" https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/to-analyse-dancing-in-the-rain-6gtked and there's a quiz to complete which we're all getting better at all the time. Well done for trying something new and thank you for having patience with us while we get used to working in a new way.
Feedback was given to each individual pupil yesterday on their quiz responses, so well done and thank you for all of those! You may want to read through today's quiz first so you can fill it in while the video goes along instead of having to write it down on paper? It's up to you. When the lady (Mrs Smart) in the video says "Your independent task" this means you can copy it out following her instructions, you can recite the poem out and perform it, but either way please take the quiz.
Please remember that although the computer tries to mark it where it can, that many of the answers are for teachers to read and then give you feedback on - especially the longer answers. https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=VMIk51CoRkafx0jYHChc65pCLab4wGRGh7LQeDMbGXdURUpHNkVCNVlZTUtFSVQ5MDhXRklSTjdHRS4u
