Homework Summer Term

Here is the Optional Homework Grid for this term. The activities link to our topics of Mayans and Environment. The children can complete one activity per week to be brought into school (or submitted on Teams) on a Wednesday. Tasks will be rewarded with a maximum of 5 dojos based on the quality of the task submitted.

Non-optional Homework, which MUST be completed, is to learn spellings and complete any set Mathletics tasks. Spelling tests will be Friday and Mathletics must be completed by Wednesday.

These will be tested in class on Friday. Key spellings are in bold and underlined, but children will need to complete the whole dictation. Make sure you know which set you should be learning.

Set A

The doctor referred me to the dentist as he didn’t want to waste time on my toothache.

I have always been taught not to interrupt or interfere in things that are not my business.

The call was transferred to the manager to deal with the complaint referring to the ridiculous wait in the supermarket.

The referee tripped on a piece of rubbish on the pitch and bumped his waist on the stand.

Set B

Sid and Lucy invited too many people to their party, so they changed it to a different night, which was a good idea.

The Jones’ think that they’re going to the fair in the park, but there is nothing there today.
