Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.
In our school we have spent Sports Premium in various ways including:
Funs Scheme and purchasing supporting equipment
This has led to a significant increase in participation in clubs across the school and greater opportunities for children to take part in competitive sports. As we move into a new year we are looking at developing this even further.
It was a good year for our school in terms of sport with an ever increasing percentage of children taking part in intra and inter school competition and with the school enjoying more competitive success in the area. This was particularly in Cross Country, athletics, swimming and cycling.
So far we have improved still further participation rates and enjoyed real success through our girls and boys football teams, being joint winners at Tavistock swim gala (an achievement that we have not managed before) and retained the Y5/6 cross country shield for the third year in a row! Our athletes also earned a bronze for their excellent achievements in the Devon finals and our girl cross country team also received a team bronze at the Devon finals.
